Welcome to SIG

Self Inquiry Group (SIG) is a community of friends engaged in the search for Truth and Self-Realization. We hold weekly satsang meetings in Raleigh, North Carolina. We also sponsor retreats and other events both locally and elsewhere with Bart Marshall and Deborah Westmoreland, and other non-dual teachers. Our meetings consist of an informal and open discussion of spiritual paths, teachings, techniques, and possible ways and means of expediting the awakening process. A period of meditation begins each meeting. The discussions are not academic or theoretical, but rather focus on our own questions, insights and experiences on the path. Audio library of SIG meetings.

Most people who continue to come to our meetings are not so much concerned with "Why should I seek Self-Realization?" as with, "What is the best way to go about it?" There is a paradox in that we use words to talk about that which is beyond words, and although there is often talk of paths and things to do, there is also general agreement that the best approach is subtractive. That is, rather than try to accumulate more spiritual and worldly knowledge, to begin doubting the validity of all you think you already know—to "back away from untruth." About the SIG community.

If you find yourself drawn to teachers like Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Douglas Harding, Richard Rose, Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, Tony Parsons, Franklin Merrell-Wolf, and the ancient masters of Zen, Advaita Vedanta, Yoga, and Christian Mysticism, you may find our meetings worthwhile.

We meet every Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00. Donations are appreciated. If you are interested in attending, please contact: info@selfinquiry.org.
